From Firewalls for People to Firewalls for Agents (The AASB Era)
Today marks the final day of #30DaysOfTrust. Explore the shift from human-centric to agentic security and the rise of the Agent Access Security Broker (AASB).

Welcome to Day 30 of #30DaysOfTrust!
From Firewalls for People to Firewalls for Agents (The AASB Era) 🛡️🤖
Today marks the final day of #30DaysOfTrust.
How do we secure human access to the web?
We built firewalls, proxies, and identity managers to ensure that when a person clicked a link or entered a password, the transaction was safe. But the world has changed. We are moving from a world of "People and Browsers" to a world of "Agents and APIs."
The Shift: Human-Centric vs. Agentic Security 🏎️💨
For decades, security was designed for human speed. We had time to verify a login or wait for a multi-factor authentication (MFA) prompt. However, autonomous agents operate at machine speed. They don't have "eyes" to read a terms-of-service agreement or the patience to wait for a manual approval for every single sub-task.
When an agent autonomously discovers a skill, executes a tool call, or accesses enterprise data, the traditional human-centric firewall is useless. We need a new category of security.
Enter the AASB: Agent Access Security Broker 🏛️🔒
At SecuriX, we believe the industry is entering the AASB Era.
Just as the Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) became essential for securing SaaS apps, the Agent Access Security Broker (AASB) is the essential infrastructure for the AI age. An AASB acts as the ultimate trust boundary, sitting between your autonomous agents and your sensitive data.
Through our work on SecuriX, we are building this infrastructure as a developer-facing API layer. It’s not just about blocking threats; it’s about enabling autonomy with accountability.
The Pillars of the AASB Era 🏛️
- Identity Beyond Users: Agents need their own verifiable identities, separate from the humans who deployed them.
- Policy-as-Code: Security cannot be a checkbox; it must be programmable logic (like Rego/OPA) that intercepts and evaluates tool calls in real-time.
- The Kill Switch: Every autonomous system needs a "Trust Portal"—a way for humans to maintain oversight, audit every action, and hit the "Big Red Button" if an agent goes off the rails.
What’s Next for SecuriX? 🚀
While #30DaysOfTrust is ending, our mission at SecuriX is just getting started. We are committed to Building in Public and creating the tools that will allow enterprises to deploy AI agents without fear.
We’ve moved past the era of securing people. It’s time to secure the agents that will build the future.
Thank you for following along for 30 days. Let’s build something trustworthy.
